Set the gas control knob to OFF. Wait several minutes to ensure no gas remains in the lines.2、Remove the Burner Access coverUnscrew and remove the burner door or access panel at the bottom of theI heater.3、Disconnect the Old ThermopileLocate the thermopile wiring connection at the gas control valve (usually marked "TP" or "TH/TP"). Carefully unscrew or unplug the thermopile wiresDisconnect the burner tube, pilot tube, and any sensor wires as needed.4、Remove Burner AssemblyGently slide out the entire burner assembly, including the thermopile andpilot assembly.Take note of how everything is arranged for reassembly, Remove the OldThermopile from BurnerUnscrew the thermopile from the bracket (often mounted with a smallscrew).Detach the pilot burner if the thermopile is integrated.5、Install the New ThermopileAttach the new thermopile to the burner assembly in the same position/orientation.
